The group ownership can be transferred by the original group owner.

Desktop #

Click Messages – Group Settings – Group Management – Transfer Group Ownership. And then select the member you would like to transfer the group.

Note: If the group owner leaves the group, the group ownership will be transferred to another person by the system.

Mobile #

Tap Messages – More – Group Management – Transfer Group Ownership. And then select the member you would like to transfer the group.
