Walaupun BPM memastikan kerja mengalir dengan lancar melalui sesuatu sistem, Penguatkuasaan Proses memastikan ia mengalir dengan betul mengikut peraturan dan dasar yang telah ditetapkan. Tanpa lapisan tambahan ini, organisasi akan dibebani dengan proses yang cekap tetapi mempunyai kawalan yang longgar.
